In Russia, the new season of flu and SARS has begun, and the Covid-19 is still considered just a seasonal disease. The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova in an interview with TASS spoke about the current epidemiological system.
The new version of the Stratus coronavirus has already been registered in Russia: cases have been increasing since the end of July. The increase in the incidence is still small, the course of the disease is light. There are no fundamental differences from the previous options, except that the “stratus” is more controversial. Popova emphasized the importance of observing simple safety measures: staying at home with the symptoms of the disease, washing hands, and monitor the health of children and the elderly.
As for the cholera, this year in the Russian Federation four improving the disease, all from India were recorded in the Russian Federation. The situation within the country remains absolutely stable, but the risk of importing is preserved. To protect against the spread of infection, Rospotrebnadzor increased control at the border: the number of inspections was increased, a remote thermometer, visual inspection and other measures are used. Observation of water bodies and intestinal infections is also increased.
Popova noted that in Asia and Africa, the situation with cholera remains tense, so the Russians traveling there should be especially attentive to their health.
