The White House got an account in Tiktok against the backdrop of the threat of service blocking in the United States

The White House is now officially present in Tiktok, a platform that the country had previously forbidden. The first video shows Trump’s cutting at various events under the track of Kendrick Lamara. In the post you can hear Trump says: “I am your voice,” and the signature reads: “America, we returned! Hi, Tiktok! ”

The White House spokeswoman Karoline Litt noted that Tiktok helped Trump to attract young voters in the 2024 elections, and now the administration wants to use the platform to communicate with the audience in the new format. Trump’s account during the campaign had more than 15 million subscribers.

Earlier, Tiktok was criticized in the country and even a decree prohibiting any transactions with the Chinese company by BYTEDANCE was signed due to fears for national security. It was indicated that Tiktok data collection can allow China to track employees of federal structures and collect personal information for blackmail or corporate espionage.

After returning to the White House, Trump suspended the ban by giving BYTEDANCE time to sell the American part of the business. According to the president, Tiktok buyers are a “very wealthy group”, but their names have not yet been disclosed.
