US President Donald Trump called for immediate resignation of Intel General Director Lipa-bo Tana. He wrote about this on the social network Truth Social, the owner of which he is. According to Trump, the head of the company is in a state of serious conflict of interests, and this, in his opinion, requires immediate measures.
Lip-bo Tan took the post of intel general director in March, replacing Pat Gelsinger, in which the company faced a fall in the shares and a lag in the development of artificial intelligence technologies. The appointment of a new director was initially perceived positively: the company’s shares grew by 15%, and analysts and employees called it a potential leader who could return Intel lost positions.
However, after the publication of Trump, Intel shares lost more than 3% of the cost. Investors reacted to the statement, despite the fact that the specific reasons for the conflict of interests that Trump are talking about were not voiced.
