According to the media, the installations emit powerful impulses that are able to disable drone electronics. The equipment is mounted on military trucks. The combat radius of action is several hundred meters. The main purpose of these systems is the defense of the “moans” of drones of a potential enemy (the use of microwaves as a weapon allows you to hit several goals at once without the need for accurate guidance).
Similar technologies are developed by other countries. In particular, in July, the American edition of TWZ reported that the US Army was preparing to adopt its own microwaves Integrated Fires Protection Capability High-Power Microwave (IFPC-HPM), also known as Leonidas.
