Intel prepares an updated Arrow Lake Refresh processor line, which will be released before the next generation of Nova Lake.
This was announced by the financial director of the company David Zinsner, noting that the release is expected by the end of the year. Arrow Lake Refresh will be a kind of “farewell” update for the LGA 1851 socket and motherboard of the 800th series.
By analogy with last year’s Raptor Lake Refresh, there will be few changes. Basically, we are talking about increased frequencies and small memory optimizations. It is not worth waiting for a significant increase in performance.
Intel admits that the current Arrow Lake did not live up to expectations in terms of competitiveness with AMD. The company expects that the transition Refresh will keep users and help partners sell boards of boards under the LGA 1851.
The main hopes are related to Nova Lake, where Intel promises a serious breakthrough in architecture and performance.
Thus, Arrow Lake Refresh will be the last generation on the current platform and will be released in the IV quarter of 2025.
