Russia developed a platform for genetic analysis

05.09.2025

The press service of the University of ITMO reported that the university experts presented a new cloud platform called Genomeai. It is designed to conduct a full cycle of genetic analysis in a single interface. Development allows to carry out sequencing, primary data processing and comparing mutations, for example, oncogenic nature.

The platform solves an important problem of modern genetic research – the need to work with huge arrays of information. Usually this requires manual settings of digital infrastructure and special technical knowledge. Existing tools in the market often cover only individual stages of analysis and differ in high cost.

Genomeai offers a different approach. The development of undergraduates AI Talent HUB ITMO is available for both small laboratories and large biotechnological companies. For different categories of users, various tariff versions and service installation systems are provided.

Particular attention is paid to safety. Data protection is provided by a multi -level system, similar in structure to banking. For small laboratories, a free starting package is available with a limit in terms of data. Large companies can consider the option with the deployment of the ON-PREMISE system for maximum information control.
