In the United States, the new Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XLs are sold without physical SIM cards-only with ESIM. But the phones support up to eight ESIM profiles. However, some users who returned their Pixel 10 due to minor defects received a replacement-international versions with a physical SIM slot. At least three people confirmed the receipt of such phones on Reddit.
International models are almost completely identical to American, but there are differences in supporting networks. They do not support the MMWAVE 5G-a superficial network available in some US cities, as well as several local 5G-bands (N29, N48 and N70). But they have additional LTE bands (21, 32, 39, 42 and 75).
For some users, the presence of a physical SIM card is an improvement. ESIM is more difficult to transfer to a new phone, especially if the old one is discharged or lost, and the physical SIM is easily inserted into any device.
The reasons why Google sends international models are still unknown.
