According to Chinese media, Xi’s approval may hinge on the U.S. easing tech export restrictions, revisiting trade barriers, and allowing Chinese firms broader access to global markets.
The TikTok deal, which involves transferring control of the app’s U.S. operations to American companies, is seen by Washington as a national security measure. Beijing, however, views such actions as politically driven and calls for a more balanced approach.
