The authorities of Yakutia and the company Yandex have concluded an agreement on the creation of a monitoring system for many years of permafrost. The document was signed in the fields of the Eastern Economic Forum by representatives of the Government of the Republic and the leadership of a technological company.
The project provides for the organization of observations of the state of the foundations of buildings and the assessment of the reaction of permafrost landscapes to modern climatic changes.
The agreement also includes cooperation in the field of digitalization of the region’s economy. Yandex will introduce new technologies into the public administration system, including a specialized service “Automated place of a civil servant”. It is planned to develop digital infrastructure in educational and culture institutions.
In the tourism sector, the parties agreed on the joint promotion of the Yandex Traveling service and the creation of virtual tours with augmented reality technology in attractions.
