On October 21, 2025, within the framework of official visit to Georgia, talks were held between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and his counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili.
The sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations in the political, economic, and humanitarian fields. Particular attention was paid to cooperation within the UN and international organizations.
During the meeting, the Ministers emphasized the importance of high-level bilateral visits, as well as the significance of regular consultations between the foreign ministries of two countries.
Issues related to expanding trade and economic cooperation were also discussed. Among the fields of mutual interest there are transport, trade, education, science, sports, and tourism.
Highlighting the high level of cultural and humanitarian interaction, the sides expressed interest in developing collaboration, including in the context of hosting mutual cultural events
