In Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, construction has begun on the new residential town “Altai.” President Sadyr Japarov officially launched the project at a ceremonial event.
The project will cover 234 hectares, making it the largest of its kind in the region. Plans include 1,551 five-story buildings, 34,004 apartments, 50 hectares of parks, 86 kilometers of roads, and 34,005 parking spaces.
The town will feature schools, kindergartens, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, police stations, and fire departments. Ten percent of the apartments will be allocated to the state.
President Sadyr Japarov emphasized that more than 200,000 citizens are currently in need of housing, and such a project is a demand of the time.
