Today, on December 20, the first summit of the Central Asia-Japan Dialogue was held in Tokyo. In order to participate in the summit, which was organized for the first time at the highest level in the 21 years since the establishment of the aforementioned dialogue platform, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev are also visiting the friendly country.
After the official welcome of the Heads of State of Central Asia at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo, a high-level six-party meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Japan, Ms. Sanae Takaichi. During the summit, the participating leaders made speeches in turn.
During the Central Asia-Japan Summit, the participants discussed important issues related to raising the six-party cooperation to a qualitatively new level, and expressed specific proposals and views in such areas as political dialogue, interregional cooperation, promotion of business, intellectual and humanitarian exchanges.
