As part of his visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who participated in the first summit of the Central Asia-Japan Dialogue in Tokyo, met with the Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi.
The Head of State, noting that our countries are bound by centuries-old traditions of cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres, highly assessed the current level of cooperation. The meeting discussed the need to continue joint work in the political, diplomatic and economic spheres.
The Honorable President, noting the contribution of Japanese business, financial institutions, and related agencies to the economic development of Turkmenistan, emphasized the intention to accelerate the implementation of joint projects to create new industries. It was also confirmed that the Turkmen side is ready to expand cooperation in areas related to the “green” transition, such as renewable energy sources and hydrogen technologies. Science and education, culture, youth, and sports sectors also remain an integral part of intergovernmental relations.
