Our country is celebrating the forthcoming International Day of Neutrality in an atmosphere of peace and unity of the people in the implementation of the Presidential programmes. The key to all our great achievements is the wise and far-sighted policy of positive neutrality, pursued by the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This holiday is always celebrated widely and solemnly and serves as a good reason to once again demonstrate the successes of the peace-loving policy of our state.
The International Day of Neutrality is as important for the Turkmen people and our state as Independence Day. Observing the status of a neutral state, our country clearly sees its prospects and confidently forms plans for the development of all spheres of the life of society and the state. Such a verified course allows the Turkmen people, under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, to reach new heights in their socioeconomic development and look to the future with optimism.
The International Day of Neutrality is also a special holiday for the entire world community. Having declared this day international on the initiative of Turkmenistan, the UN General Assembly calls upon the entire world community to peace and good neighbourliness and to the establishment of humanistic principles in international relations. According to many statesmen, diplomats, heads of authoritative international organisations, scientists and experts, the conception of Turkmenistan’s neutrality has become the most important modern idea for consolidating the activities of countries and international organisations in maintaining peace and stability, ensuring comprehensive security and establishing mutually beneficial and constructive interstate relations.
Various events are held to mark the International Day of Neutrality. They play a major role in educating young people as patriots of their country.
