This was announced at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council on December 26. The Chairman of the Mejlis informed about the results of the work on defining the motto and emblem of the future year.
As noted, guided by the wise statements of the Hero-Arkadag that the coming year is the Year of the Horse, it is symbolic for the Turkmen people, who throughout the centuries-old history have assigned a major role to the Akhal-Teke horses, as well as for the purpose of glorifying the sovereign Motherland, which has been achieved in all spheres, under the wise leadership of the Arkadagly Hero Serdar confidently follows the leap to the heights of progress, and on the basis of Proposals received from representatives of the people, large public organizations of the country, labor collectives and citizens, prepared the Resolution of the Mejlis on the declaration of 2026 «Garaşsyz, baky Bitarap Türkmenistan — bedew batly at-myradyň mekany».
In this connection, the emblem of the upcoming year was presented to the consideration of the head of Turkmenistan.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the motto of our country is proclaimed and the emblem of each new year is approved in order to give it a modern name.
The members of the Mejlis together with the people submitted proposals for the motto and emblem of the next year, the head of state said. Approving them, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the motto for 2026 – «Garaşsyz, baky Bitarap Türkmenistan — bedew batly at-myradyň mekany».
This decision was met with thunderous applause.
