A large-scale roundtable titled “The Future of Eurasian Integration – The Role of Youth in the New Digital World” was held in Ashgabat. Detailed information regarding this significant event, organized by the Department of Science, Education, and Culture of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan, was published by the “Altyn Asyr” electronic newspaper.
The meeting was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Russian public diplomacy. The session was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, prominent scientists, public figures, and active members of the young professionals’ community. During the meeting, a thorough exchange of views took place concerning new directions for international cooperation and the pivotal role of youth in an era of rapid technological development.
Participants highlighted the profound symbolic significance of celebrating the 100th anniversary of Russian public diplomacy during the International Year of Peace and Trust, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality. It was noted that this combination of landmark dates contributes to the further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
In her speech, Yulia Zaitseva, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy, noted that both historical milestones are aimed at promoting peace, unity, and mutual understanding worldwide. The diplomat emphasized that the era of digitalization opens vast opportunities for the younger generation. At the same time, she stressed the importance of preserving deep spiritual and cultural values as the primary guarantee of a sustainable future, calling on young people to take an active stance in this regard.
