The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan, Bandaru Wilsonbabu, arrived in Ashgabat today and held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for Trade and Textile Industry, Nokerguly Atagulyyev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to further strengthen trade and economic cooperation between India and Turkmenistan. The discussion covered increasing bilateral trade turnover, expanding cooperation in industrial and textile sectors, and implementing new joint projects.
Ambassador Bandaru Wilsonbabu emphasized India’s strong commitment to developing relations with Turkmenistan and expressed readiness to expand cooperation in trade, logistics, textile industry, digital economy, and small and medium‑sized enterprises.
The Turkmen side, in turn, noted the high level of bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence that new economic opportunities would emerge in the future.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
