Nestlé withdraws baby food products from the markets of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye and 20 other countries due to a potential toxin risk

08.01.2026

Nestlé, one of the world’s largest food producers, has temporarily suspended the sale of several baby food products in multiple countries — including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye and around 20 other states. The decision was made due to safety concerns related to the possible presence of toxic residues in certain product batches.

According to the company’s official statement, inspections revealed that some batches may contain substances that could pose a health risk. Considering the potential danger to children, Nestlé has recalled all affected products from the market.

Information released about the toxin notes that it may cause:

  • vomiting,
  • stomach pain,
  • digestive disorders.

Nestlé is currently conducting additional inspections of all relevant batches and is working closely with health authorities in the affected countries. The company advises consumers not to use products from the specified series and to return them to the place of purchase.

In response to the incident, regulatory agencies in several countries announced that they have strengthened inspections and increased attention to the quality and safety of baby food.

Nestlé stated that the situation will be fully investigated, all production stages will be reviewed, and necessary measures will be taken to restore consumer confidence.
