On February 9, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, A. Bayramov, met with the President of the Turkmen-Japanese Scientific and Technological Association, H. Koinuma, along with representatives of Japanese companies partnering with the association. During the meeting, the parties discussed further development of established scientific and technological ties and the creation of new cooperation platforms.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the discussions centered on strengthening long-standing bilateral relations and introducing new Japanese companies interested in entering the Turkmen market. The sides paid special attention to promising areas for integrating innovative technologies into various industries.

Specifically, the meeting reviewed proposals from the Japanese company Tohkemy Corporation to implement water purification technologies and equipment in Turkmenistan. It was noted that these efforts would significantly contribute to modernizing the material and technical base of the country’s water management system.

Furthermore, the capabilities of Japanese companies such as Sustec and Carbon Cryo Capture Co., Ltd. were presented. These firms specialize in high-precision diagnostic equipment using quantum sensing for mineral exploration, as well as carbon dioxide separation technologies for liquefied gas production. The implementation of such technologies is vital for enhancing resource efficiency and ensuring environmental safety.
