The Day of Diplomatic Workers is celebrated annually on February 18, established by a Decree of the President of Turkmenistan in 2009. This date symbolizes the high regard held at the state level for Turkmen diplomats and their noble work. The high-level annual celebration of this professional holiday and the awarding of the “Master Diplomat of Turkmenistan” distinction to outstanding ambassadors attest to the comprehensive attention given to this field.
Extensive work is being carried out regarding the professional excellence of diplomatic staff, their proficiency in modern technologies, their material and technical support, and the protection of their rights. Each year, our Honorable President meets with them, paying close attention to their social security and financial matters.
In the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on December 6, 2025, the Honorable President signed the Resolution “On Financial Issues of the Diplomatic Service of Turkmenistan.” This was done in accordance with the Laws of Turkmenistan “On Diplomatic Service,” “On the Status of Diplomatic Missions of Turkmenistan in Foreign States,” and “On Consular Service,” with the aim of improving the activities of the country’s diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad. This demonstrates that the initiatives of our Hero Arkadag to improve the diplomatic service are being successfully continued under the leadership of our Honorable President.
In its successfully implemented foreign policy, our state of Turkmenistan promotes the principle of “Peace through Development” and the philosophy of “Dialogue — A Guarantee of Peace,” which have gained widespread global support through the initiatives of our National Leader. We see clear evidence of this in the third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held last year in the “Awaza” National Tourist Zone, as well as the international forum organized in Ashgabat on December 12. This forum was dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Neutrality Day, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, alongside other international conferences and the documents adopted based on their results.
The diplomatic service bears highly responsible duties in the successful implementation of our state’s foreign policy. May the lives of our National Leader and our Heroic Serdar with Arkadag, who lead Turkmen diplomacy toward victorious horizons, be long and filled with health!
