Between January 31 and February 2, 2026, a delegation from Turkmenistan participated in the 52nd Meeting of Senior Officials of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This session served as the third and most crucial preparatory stage for the 52nd Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), scheduled to take place on April 11–12, 2026, in Baghdad, Iraq.
During the meeting, the Turkmen side introduced a new initiative aimed at strengthening regional and global stability. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the delegation submitted a draft resolution titled “The Role of the Policy of Neutrality in Ensuring and Strengthening International Peace, Security, and Sustainable Development within the OIC Space and at the Global Level.” The objective is to have this resolution formally adopted during the upcoming ministerial session in Baghdad.
Furthermore, participants developed draft strategic decisions across political, legal, informational, and humanitarian sectors. Following the deliberations, the work program for the foreign ministers was finalized, and the core issues to be included in the upcoming forum’s agenda were formally agreed upon.
