A diplomatic meeting took place at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad between Turkmenistan’s Ambassador A. Movlamov and Spain’s Ambassador-designate to Pakistan, Carlos Aragón.
Ambassador Movlamov congratulated his Spanish counterpart on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Pakistan.
The discussion centered on expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and Spain in trade, transit, energy, and other mutually beneficial sectors. Ambassador-designate Aragón shared Spain’s experience in combating desertification and highlighted national initiatives aimed at sustainable natural resource management.
Both sides also noted the economic potential of trade routes passing through Afghanistan and Pakistan, emphasizing regional connectivity as a key area for future collaboration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the diplomats reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and maintaining regular dialogue through the Diplomatic Corps in Pakistan.
