The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the European Union, Palvanov, held a meeting with Kristia Pobil Borrera, Director of the Energy Security and International Relations Unit of the Directorate‑General for Energy of the European Commission.
During the talks, the parties discussed in detail the current state of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union in the energy sector, as well as prospects for its further development. Special attention was given to issues of energy security, sustainable infrastructure, and the climate agenda.
The sides exchanged views on possible formats for expanding institutional cooperation and strengthening practical partnership. It was noted that the existing dialogue mechanisms play an important role in maintaining constructive cooperation, and both parties expressed their readiness to continue using these mechanisms actively.
Both sides reaffirmed their interest in maintaining regular contacts, including at a high level, and emphasized the importance of continuing an open and forward‑looking dialogue that reflects the priorities of both partners.
