At the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on March 13, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution on tree planting in Turkmenistan in 2026. The document was adopted to transform the country into a garden city during the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, to create forest zones, to ensure proper care for saplings, and to promote further greening of the country. According to the document, the nationwide tree-planting day in Turkmenistan is scheduled for March 21, 2026.
Ministries, sectoral departments, and the administrations (hyakimliks) of the velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, have been instructed to ensure that the nationwide tree-planting event is organized at a high level.
