Afghanistan is stepping up the export of its products through the Lapis Lazuli Corridor, which passes through Turkmenistan. According to the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of Afghanistan, eight trucks of export goods were dispatched through the Turgundi dry port on the Turkmen-Afghan border. This was reported by “Ariana News” on Sunday.
The shipments include dried fruits, jam, pressure cookers, and energy drinks. After the goods reach Turkey, they are planned to be re-exported to the markets of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the USA, Australia, and the Netherlands.
Launched in 2018, the Lapis Lazuli Corridor connects Afghanistan to European markets through Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey.
