Preparatory measures for the entry of Belarusian companies into the Turkmen market were discussed during the working visit of a business delegation from the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan, which took place from March 14 to 20 this year.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Belarus, the delegation held B2B meetings with Turkmen entrepreneurs and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. During these meetings, the parties exchanged views on developing direct supplies and industrial cooperation.
As a result of the discussions, preliminary agreements were reached regarding the export of Belarusian sausage products to the Turkmen market. Furthermore, issues concerning the import of Turkmen fruits and vegetables, as well as the possibilities of implementing Belarusian IT solutions in the banking sector, were reviewed.
During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the operations of the Ashgabat Textile Complex and visited several enterprises owned by Turkmen entrepreneurs. The Belarusian business group also participated in the forum dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
Additionally, the Belarusian delegation held a separate meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan, Stanislav Chepurny. The parties discussed legal matters, logistics, and settlement terms essential for doing business in the region.
According to the Open Joint Stock Company “Belshina,” an agreement was also signed during the working visit for the supply of Belarusian tire products to the Turkmen market.
