The Georgian oil refinery Black Sea Petroleum (BSP) is set to begin processing crude oil imported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
According to a report by Business Media Georgia on Monday, the company’s CEO, David Poshveria, stated that agreements for the supply of Turkmen raw materials have been reached, and operations in this area will commence in the coming months.
David Poshveria emphasized that logistical arrangements for the regular transit of oil through Azerbaijan are currently in their final stages.
Black Sea Petroleum (BSP) is Georgia’s first full-scale oil refinery, located in the town of Kulevi on the Black Sea coast. Currently, the facility processes up to 1.2 million tons of oil annually, producing naphtha, fuel oil, and diesel fuel components.
