The “Industry 4.0” concept will be implemented at the new mineral fertilizer complex of the S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant in Turkmenabat, with chemical reactions to be managed by artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported by the official press of Turkmenistan on Thursday.
As noted in the report, this will help minimize the human factor and ensure high precision in the composition of chemical compounds. With the implementation of the “Industry 4.0” concept, the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant will evolve from a conventional industrial enterprise into a high-tech hub connected to a global digital ecosystem.
The report states that “smart” production, utilizing Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Big Data analysis technologies, will allow for real-time monitoring of phosphate fertilizer production, optimize raw material and electricity consumption, and help prevent production disruptions.
Furthermore, the S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant, in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, is conducting research to develop products that not only nourish plants but also prevent soil salinization and improve soil composition. It is worth noting that in October 2025, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, launched the construction of a new complex at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant, designed to produce 350,000 tons of superphosphate and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate annually.
