The Assembly of Experts of the Islamic Republic of Iran has elected Mojtaba Khamenei as the country’s new Supreme Leader (Rahbar). This was reported by international sources, citing the “Mehr” news agency.
It is worth noting that earlier, Hossein Ali Eshkevari, a member of the Assembly of Experts, had announced that a new leader had been chosen and that the name would be officially revealed in the near future.
Previously, official state media confirmed the untimely passing of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
