Ozon, the Russian e-commerce platform, has announced the start of sales for residents of Turkmenistan. More than 150 million items across various categories—from children’s goods to household appliances—are already available on the ozon.tm platform.
In the initial phase, delivery is organized only within Ashgabat, where orders can be collected from “Turkmenpost” branches. In April, the company plans to expand its logistics to other regions of the country and launch a courier delivery service. At the starting stage, the delivery time is approximately 10 days, with plans to reduce it in the future.
“We see great potential in the development of e-commerce in the country,” noted Natalia Boyer, CEO of Ozon in the CIS. She also expressed hope that the company would become a convenient tool for everyday shopping for local residents.
Ozon has been developing its international business since 2021 and currently operates in 10 countries, including CIS nations such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, and Belarus, as well as China and Turkey. With its launch in Turkmenistan, the platform has expanded its presence to 11 countries.
