On February 24, 2026, in Abu Dhabi, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the UAE, B. Bayramov, officially presented his credentials to Francesco La Camera, the Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
During the meeting, the parties discussed the priority areas of strategic partnership, with a particular focus on “green” hydrogen production and the implementation of advanced technologies in the field of renewable energy.
The head of IRENA confirmed the Agency’s readiness to further deepen multilateral cooperation with Turkmenistan. At the end of the conversation, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to long-term dialogue aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ensuring global environmental stability.
