At the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on March 13, the Head of State noted that, in honor of the holy night of Gadyr Gijesi, citizens who have been convicted of crimes but have sincerely repented for their actions will be granted a pardon.
The floor was then given to the Secretary of the State Security Council and Chairman of the Commission for Preparing Proposals on Citizenship and Pardon Issues under the President of Turkmenistan, B. Gundogdyyev. He reported on the work carried out by the Commission in preparing the list of citizens to be pardoned on the occasion of the holy night of Gadyr Gijesi.
Having heard the report, the Head of State, in accordance with the noble tradition, signed a Decree pardoning 336 convicted citizens in honor of the holy night of Gadyr Gijesi. Arkadagly Hero Serdar instructed B. Gundogdyyev, together with the heads of law enforcement agencies, to take the necessary steps to release the pardoned individuals from confinement so that they may return home to their families in the near future. The Head of State wished the pardoned individuals to work diligently, serve the beloved Motherland with a sincere heart, and enjoy the fruits of their honest labor.
