Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan plan to direct their investments toward the implementation of several key projects in 2026. This was reported in the “Нейтральный Туркменистан” newspaper published on Tuesday.
Specifically, plans include the construction of two-story shopping centers in the Gurtly residential complex of Ashgabat, trade and service complexes in the Parahat-7 residential area, and a multi-purpose textile production enterprise covering 11 hectares in the Ak Bugday district of the Ahal region.
The report notes that priority areas in the agro-industrial sector will include the establishment of new livestock and poultry farms, the expansion of greenhouse complexes, and the creation of fruit orchards and vegetable fields through the implementation of water-saving technologies.
As emphasized in the report, the “Program for Social and Economic Development and Investment of Turkmenistan in 2026” is aimed at the dynamic growth of small and medium-sized businesses. It is planned to increase the private sector’s share of the GDP (excluding the country’s fuel and energy complex) to 72.9%.
Furthermore, this year, the country aims to create 5,245 new jobs by building new production facilities across various industries and modernizing existing ones.
