Developers from Turkmenistan have successfully secured their spots among the finalists of the Central Asia Programming Championship 2026, an international competitive programming tournament. The final stage of this prestigious IT event will take place on March 27 in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, as part of the “Digital Qazaqstan 2026” forum.
The championship has brought together the best programmers from five countries in the region: Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. Following a rigorous online qualifying round held on February 28, the top participants are now preparing for the face-to-face competition. In the final, they will tackle highly complex algorithmic problems that meet the highest standards of competitive programming (ICPC level).
The total prize pool for the competition is 3 million tenge (approximately 6,700 USD). The first-place winner will receive 1.5 million tenge, while the second and third places will be awarded 1 million and 500,000 tenge, respectively. A key feature of the championship is that the organizers (Alem.ai Foundation and Astana Hub) are fully covering the travel and accommodation expenses for all finalists.
In addition to the competition, a unique educational program has been prepared for the young programmers. Leading specialists from world-renowned technology companies such as Meta, Google, and Booking will speak at the forum. This provides participants with a great opportunity to discuss their professional future with international experts and build new professional networks.
For the youth of Turkmenistan, participating in the “Central Asia Programming Championship” is not only a chance to prove themselves at a regional level but also a significant step toward joining the global IT community and exchanging experience with industry leaders.
