The Minister of Highways of Turkmenistan, Hangeldı Kerimow, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, Rawshanbek Alimow. During the meeting, key issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of road construction were discussed.
According to the “Dunyo” news agency’s report on Sunday, the parties also exchanged views on developing transport and transit corridors between the two countries.
During the meeting, participants paid special attention to the use of advanced technologies in the road construction industry, digital management of infrastructure projects, the design of bridges and transport facilities, as well as the exchange of experience in other areas of mutual interest.
The parties noted that the construction and commissioning of the Ashgabat—Turkmenabat high-speed highway will contribute to the growth of trade turnover and freight transport between the two countries, as well as the development of international transit routes.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to expand practical cooperation by organizing mutual visits, conducting expert-level working meetings, and implementing joint projects.
