For the first time in nearly two months, a high-intensity solar flare has been recorded on the Sun. This was reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“The latest flare occurred today at 06:19 AM, reaching a magnitude of X1.4 (extremely strong),” according to the Laboratory’s website.
The last flare of this class was recorded on February 4, which at that time set a 21st-century record for the total number of M-class and X-class solar flares.
