On April 7, 2026, as part of a working visit to the Republic of Korea, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan A.Gurbanov held a meeting with Turkmen students studying at higher educational institutions in the Republic of Korea. The event was aimed at familiarizing with their living and study conditions, as well as informing them about the large-scale transformations taking place in Turkmenistan.
It was also emphasized that relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea are reaching a qualitatively new level. In this context, students were informed about the first “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” Summit, scheduled to be held in September 2026 in the Republic of Korea, as well as the upcoming visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the country. It was noted that this high-level meeting will contribute to further strengthening political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two states.
It was highlighted that the state places great trust in youth and creates all necessary conditions for obtaining modern education. The Deputy Minister also inquired about the students’ academic performance and living conditions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an exchange of views took place, during which participants received answers to their questions.
