Turkmen carpets, breathtaking in their beauty, exquisite jewelry that enhances the grace of our women, and other material and cultural treasures are an integral part of the rich national heritage passed down to us by our ancestors. Among these, our graceful and swift Akhal-Teke horses have become a modern embodiment of beauty and a symbol of our country’s achievements and great progress.
Akhal-Teke horses, the pride of our people, are a national treasure that has endured through the centuries. Following the principle “The horse is the realization of a dream,” our wise ancestors linked their innermost desires and noble goals with these steeds, as fast as the wind. In the modern era, our horses not only serve as the centerpiece of grand celebrations but also personify the rapid pace of the country’s development. Thanks to the unparalleled efforts of the Hero-Arkadag and the Esteemed President, the Turkmen art of horse breeding is ascending to new heights.
In the present day, significant importance is placed on developing the ancestral art of horse training (seýisçilik) at a modern level. In this regard, a vital role in promoting national horse breeding is played by the establishment of the following institutions in the city of Arkadag:
- The Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding;
- The “At — Myrat” Training Center;
- The Horse Breeding Scientific-Production Center;
- The Gorogly State Equestrian Circus.
One of the unforgettable events at the beginning of the year, “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of the Purposeful Winged Steeds” was the presentation of international certificates to the “Galkynyş” National Equestrian Games group at the International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo for their immense contribution to circus arts.
May the health of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and Arkadagly Hero Serdar—who both make colossal contributions to the development of national horse breeding and the enhancement of its international prestige—be robust, and may their great deeds always be crowned with success!
