More than 1,700 tons of goods were exported to Uzbekistan as a result of trade conducted through the “Shabat” Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone between January and March of this year. This was reported by the official press of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
Additionally, it was recorded that nearly 60,000 citizens of Uzbekistan conducted trade activities within the Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone.
Furthermore, during the same period, more than 250 tons of goods were imported to Turkmenistan from the “Shabat” Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone.
The “Shabat” Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone was launched in November 2025. Trade turnover carried out through this border trade zone is exempt from all customs duties and other fees.
