Over 250 Chinese Companies Expected at Upcoming Ashgabat Business Forum

From April 28 to 30, Ashgabat will host a large-scale Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum and Expo at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The event is set to be a vital platform for discussing bilateral cooperation and attracting investment into key economic sectors.

The forum is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the China Overseas Development Association (CODA), and “Talwas Yoly” CJSC (a division of Oguz Forum Expo).

Global Interest and Scale

More than 250 Chinese companies representing a wide range of industries—from energy and industry to logistics and agriculture—are expected to participate. This scale highlights the growing interest of Chinese businesses in the Turkmen market. The expo will cover strategic sectors including:

  • Oil and gas, energy, and metallurgy.
  • Construction, light and heavy industry.
  • Agriculture, mechanical engineering, and transport-logistics.

High-Level Participation

The event will feature representatives from leading Chinese corporations, including Fortune Global 500 companies. Confirmed attendees include:

  • Yang Bo, Assistant President of Nuctech Company Limited and GM of the Asia & CIS Regional Center.
  • Li Lixia, General Manager for the CIS region at Sinotruk International, bringing over 20 years of experience in commercial vehicles and specialized machinery.

This forum is expected to be one of the year’s most significant bilateral business events, launching new joint initiatives between Turkmenistan and China.
