Timed to coincide with the spring school holidays, this cultural event was organized by the state organization “ROSKINO” with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan, and the Ministry of Culture of our country. The festival program included four of the best films from recent years, specially selected for family viewing.
Several captivating films were presented to the audience as part of the cultural program. Among them was this year’s musical and fantasy film “Buratino,” directed by Igor Voloshin (102 minutes), based on the famous fairy tale by Alexei Tolstoy. Also featured was the animated film “Doctor Dinozavrov,” released last year by director Maxim Volkov (80 minutes). This work tells the story of schoolboy Phil Dinozavrov and his father—the wise Doctor—as they travel to the ancient Mesozoic era and experience thrilling adventures.
Another engaging work for film enthusiasts was the family adventure film “Treasures of the Gnomes,” directed by Alexander Babaev and Vasily Rovensky (100 minutes), released last year. This comedy depicts the main character, Roman, inheriting magical gnomes and setting off on a treasure hunt with their help. Additionally, a modern adaptation of a Russian folk tale, “The Frog Princess,” directed by Alexander Amirov (90 minutes), was also presented for families. Starring Valentina Lyapina, Alexander Metelkin, and Nikita Kologrivy, the film portrays the quest for true happiness interwoven with extraordinary contemporary events.
