According to an official statement from Apple, significant leadership transitions will take place within the company’s executive ranks starting September 1st of this year. John Ternus, a highly experienced veteran of the company, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
John Ternus has served as the Head of Hardware Engineering since 2021 and has contributed extensively to the development of Apple products throughout his 25-year tenure. His current role as Head of Hardware Engineering will be assumed by his deputy, Tom Mariéb.
The 65-year-old Tim Cook, who currently serves as CEO, will transition to the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors. He will succeed Art Levinson, who has held this position for a long period. In his new capacity, Tim Cook will primarily focus on strengthening international partnerships and addressing strategic corporate issues.
