The potential of Turkmenistan’s energy sector garnered significant interest at the “OTC Asia — 2026” international offshore technology conference and exhibition, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from March 31 to April 2 this year. Representatives of our country’s oil and gas complex participated in this prestigious event, highlighting Turkmenistan’s standing in the international energy arena and its ambitious future projects.
During the exhibition, the Turkmen delegates held several meetings with executives from the world’s leading energy companies. The discussions primarily focused on attracting international investment for the development of the country’s hydrocarbon resources, commissioning new fields, and diversifying export routes for energy resources to global markets.
Special attention within the framework of the conference was also given to “blue energy” and the implementation of digital technologies in the oil and gas industry. Turkmen experts exchanged experiences regarding compliance with environmental standards and modern efforts to reduce harmful emissions.
Participation in the “OTC Asia — 2026” forum has paved the way for elevating Turkmenistan’s energy cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries to a new level and laid the foundation for signing mutually beneficial contracts with foreign partners.
