A presentation on the outcomes of the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum was held in Beijing

On May 20, 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People's Republic of China organized a presentation event in Beijing dedicated to the outcomes of the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum and Exhibition held in Ashgabat in April this year. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

The event was attended by diplomats from the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the PRC, representatives of the Trade Representation under the Embassy, heads of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA), the Chinese-Turkmen Cultural Center, as well as representatives of state and private structures of both countries.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Ambassador P. Durdyev briefed the participants on key financial projects in various sectors of our country's economy, as well as the products of domestic manufacturers showcased at the Ashgabat exhibition. Following the negotiations, he called on Chinese colleagues to invest in Turkmen projects and to intensify export-import operations. Furthermore, information was provided on the upcoming events planned by the ministries and line agencies of Turkmenistan.

The presentation event also featured speeches by Zhou Lin, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Demonstration Area of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Mayor of Jiaozhou City; Jiang Yun, Secretary General of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA) and Li Zan, Director of the Chinese-Turkmen Cultural Center.

The speakers noted the high organizational level of the thematic sessions, as well as the meetings held in B2B and B2G formats within the framework of the Ashgabat forum, and discussed new areas of interaction.

Furthermore, it was emphasized that during the business meetings, new projects on production modernization and the implementation of digital systems were presented, and a number of bilateral Memorandums of Understanding were signed.

Representatives of the China Overseas Development Association confirmed their readiness to hold the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum and Exhibition on a regular annual basis in order to further strengthen the trade, economic, and investment partnership between the two countries.
