On May 21, 2026, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States, Esen Aydogdyev, presented his credentials to U.S. President Donald J. Trump at the White House. During the ceremony, congratulations and best wishes were conveyed on behalf of the leadership of Turkmenistan and the United States.
The parties highlighted the importance of the more than 34‑year relationship between Turkmenistan and the United States and reaffirmed their interest in further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
