Chinese developers have introduced a new humanoid robot called «Unitree Superman», which is capable of running faster than Olympic champion Usain Bolt and jumping higher than modern athletes.
The developers from the Hangzhou International Science and Technology Innovation Center announced the project on social media.
The robot can reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h, surpassing Usain Bolt’s top speed of 44.7 km/h.
In addition, the humanoid robot can jump more than 2 metres while standing upright.
The development of the prototype took more than three months. The creators emphasized that the current version is not the final model and still has significant potential for further improvements.
According to the developer, «Unitree Superman» will participate in the Robot Olympics to be held in Beijing at the end of this week.
