From 3 to 7 August, an elite referees’ seminar for the Western Zone of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will take place at the National Football Centre in Tashkent. Notably, this prestigious event is being hosted by Uzbekistan for the first time.
One of the most important educational events on the AFC calendar, the seminar will bring together representatives of the AFC Refereeing Department, 92 elite-category referees from across Asia, experienced instructors, and leading specialists in referee development.
During the five-day training programme, theoretical and practical sessions will be held on modern refereeing criteria, analysis of match situations, decision-making quality, match management culture, physical preparation, and the effective use of VAR technology.
The seminar is expected to contribute to further improving refereeing standards in Asian football, strengthening a unified approach, and reinforcing international standards.
