Turkmenabat, September 1 — The opening ceremony of the new building complex of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute was held in Turkmenabat, Lebap Velayat. The new educational centre has been created to train highly qualified teachers of the new generation.
The new complex is designed for 5,000 students and covers an area of nearly 26 hectares. It includes the main building, educational buildings, an assembly hall, a library, a 1,000-seat canteen, sports facilities and other technical structures.
Six modern dormitories with a total capacity of 2,000 places have been built for students. They are equipped with all necessary conditions for comfortable living and studying.
The institute features modern classrooms equipped with digital technologies, as well as laboratories for scientific research and practical training. The laboratories cover such fields as chemistry, biology, physics, fundamentals of labour and technology, defectology and other disciplines.
The new complex also includes museums of history, archaeology and ethnography, as well as museums dedicated to flora and fauna. A modern library capable of storing up to one million books has been established. It includes a 700-seat reading hall and a 100-seat electronic library. The new educational complex will serve as an important foundation for training modern teachers and specialists in the field of education.
