The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a general lecture at the Ruhyyet Palace in Arkadag City on September 2nd on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth and the start of the new academic year.
The meeting was attended by representatives of public organizations, heads of higher educational institutions, teachers, students, schoolchildren, young specialists, and media representatives. Ahead of the lecture, Hero Arkadag noted that the state-of-the-art educational facilities commissioned for the new academic year are a clear testament to the vast opportunities being created for the youth’s education.
During the general lecture, the National Leader of the Turkmen people delivered a comprehensive address on the achievements of independent Turkmenistan, the policy of permanent neutrality, the country’s international prestige, and the tasks facing the younger generation. He emphasized the vital importance of qualities such as love for the Motherland, respect for national values, a drive for education, and constructive labor.
Hero Arkadag drew attention to the political, economic, and cultural achievements of the country on the eve of the glorious 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence. He also highlighted the specific role of Neutrality in promoting peace, stability, and international cooperation.
The speech also covered Turkmenistan’s relations with the global community, initiatives put forward within the framework of the United Nations, and cooperation in transport, energy, environmental, and humanitarian spheres. Hero Arkadag noted that all necessary conditions are being created for young people to receive a modern education, master new technologies, engage in scientific research, and implement innovative ideas. He stressed the importance of advancing the “Smart Society” concept in Turkmenistan and expanding international scientific and educational cooperation.
