The “e-Visa” electronic visa system, which permits foreign citizens and stateless persons to enter, stay in, exit, and transit through the country, has been officially launched in Turkmenistan. Implemented in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan “On Migration,” this new digital system began operating on October 1, 2026, via a dedicated website on the Internet. This was reported on the official website of the state agency.
The new digital service provides a practical opportunity to significantly save time for foreigners visiting Turkmenistan, transition document management into an electronic format, and complete all processing procedures in a short time under a simplified framework. Additionally, it enhances the operational efficiency of the State Migration Service and ensures that the services provided fully comply with modern international standards.
The State Migration Service of Turkmenistan consistently implements comprehensive measures to expand international cooperation, improve service quality, and introduce advanced digital technologies.
